[VIGH BLOH-uh LEHK-kuhr TOOS.] – It’s better for us to stay home/ we happily remain home. (Literally, lekker means delicious, but its use is broadened to other subjects.)

[UHt IHs hEEL geh-SEHL-luhkh.] It is wholly pleasant. (Note: gesellich does not quite have an English equivalent and can mean “cozy” or “comfortable” among other meanings.)

[UHt KOO VOHL MIHN-duhr!] – Could be worse!

[YOOt? GOOt!] – Today? Good!

[MAWR YOOS-tuhr? NET SAH GOOt.] – But yesterday? Not so good.

[SPIH-tuhkh.] – Too bad / that’s a pity.
